Mistltoe

Captain Kathryn Janeway sipped her eggnog spiked spiced rum and let her eyes wander where her hands could not. Seven of Nine was seated at a table sporting the tiniest of smiles as she watched Naomi open a brightly wrapped present.  Kathryn’s gaze traced the line from Seven’s hip to her shoulder, along her collar bone to the dip in her neck, and then up to her strong jaw line then upwards to her sparkling blue eyes.  She lingered on the implant over Seven’s left eye and wondered how it would feel to brush her lips against it. Would it send shivers down Seven’s spine? She realized that her gaze was being returned and thought she had better do something.  She strode over to their table as Naomi began to bounce up and down with glee.

“You two look like you’re having fun.” Janeway said smiling.

“Look what Seven made for me Captain! A new Flotter program.” The girl handed the Padd to Janeway and hopped over to give Seven a big hug. Janeway’s trademark smirk appeared as she read the bright-animated graphic on the Padd, once again surprised at how deeply human Seven was and yet tried so hard to hide it.

“This’ll be great fun, Naomi.”  Janeway smiled and handed the child the Padd.

“Yes it will! I’m going to go show Mom, Oh Captain Janeway, there is a special surprise for you too.”  With that she skipped away into the crowd. Kathryn sat down opposite the beautiful former Borg.

“Captain, are you enjoying yourself?” Seven asked.

“Yes, quite a bit but I think I’ll disappear soon, I think the crew finds it harder to relax with me around.”

“I often feel the same way.” Seven stated enigmatically. Kathryn chose not to inquire as to precisely what she meant.

“I wonder what my special surprise is?  Any guesses Seven?” unconsciously she leaned towards the young woman.

“I do not need to guess Captain, as I already know.”  She tilted her head ever so slightly, noticing Janeway’s breasts straining against her red blouse.  Seven used to hate attending such social gatherings until she discovered that the Captain generally took it as an opportunity to dress casually. Tonight to complement the red blouse she was wearing loose black pants that perfectly accentuated her buttocks.  Seven had noticed this earlier and had spent much of the evening finding reasons to enjoy that particular view.

“You look lovely in red Captain.” She stated simply.  Her eyes held the Captains as both women sipped their drinks. Kathryn’s face felt a little flushed and she wondered if Seven was purposefully flirting with her.

“Thank-you Seven.” Janeway said looking slightly flushed. “You look beautiful tonight too.” Their long look was soon interrupted.

Samantha Wildman walked over to the table holding her daughter’s hand.

“Excuse me, Captain, Naomi insists she can’t go to bed until you’ve had your surprise.”  She looked down at her bouncing daughter.

“Alright Naomi…” The Captain smiled indulgently at the girl. “I’m ready.”

“Oh, it’s not here, it’s in your quarters!” She reached out her hand to hold the Captain’s.  Janeway stood up. “C’mon Seven, you have to come too!”

All four exited the messhall together, Naomi hauling the Captain along with Sam and Seven following. Seven was once again enjoying the view of the Captains bottom. Samantha was shaking her head.

“Naomi, sweetie, there’s no need to drag the Captain to the lift!” She scolded lightheartedly.

“It’s Ok Sam. I’ll survive.” Kathryn chuckled. They made it to deck three and Naomi ran ahead and stood arms outstretched guarding the door.

“You have to close your eyes.” She said. Janeway smiled and put a hand over her eyes and then stated the command access code to open the door. Naomi took her other hand and led her into her quarters. Just before she moved her hand she heard Sam gasp.

“Now, Captain.” The girl said with a giggle.

Kathryn gasped eyes wide.  Her living room had been transformed; tiny colored lights outlined the view-ports, string upon string of white paper snowflakes hung from the ceiling and around the edges of the furniture.  On her side table stood a little Christmas tree decorated with shiny origami decorations!

“Naomi! It’s amazing,” she smiled at the girl and then her eyes caught Seven’s, “it’s so beautiful!”

She knelt down and gave the girl a big hug. “You did this all yourself?” She asked astonished.

“Seven helped lots, but first I had to convince her to sneak in to your quarters.” Naomi grinned.

“I had wondered about that.” Kathryn flashed a smile at Seven. “Thank you, so very much Naomi, both of you.” She stayed crouched down at the girl’s height an arm around her small shoulders.

“Does it remind you of Indiana, when you were little like that story you told me.”

“Naomi, I told you about Indiana three years ago.” Kathryn was amazed at the girl’s memory. “Yes, it does. This is very special for me Naomi. Thank-you.”

Naomi smiled a huge beaming smile and hugged the Captain once more.

“Bedtime, Naomi. Say good-night.” Sam said quietly. Naomi whined but left willingly. Kathryn felt tears in her eyes as she turned from the closing door and looked at the beautiful woman standing in the middle of her dimly lit quarters.

“She’s a very special girl.” She managed as she walked towards Seven.

“Indeed,” Seven said quietly. ”As are you … Kathryn.”  Janeway looked surprised.  She blinked away the tears and gazed up at her Astrometrics officer.  She felt a panic in the pit of her stomach, but she ignored it.  She liked hearing her name from Seven’s lips.

“Seven, you’re standing under the mistletoe. You know what that means don’t you?” Kathryn flirted.

“I have been waiting for you to notice.” Her blue eyes sparked in the dim light.

“Indeed?” Kathryn smirked. She gasped as Seven’s arms wrapped around her waist, one hand travelling up to her shoulder the other slipping down, down, down her back, finally resting on a buttock. Kathryn thought she might faint.  Kathryn’s own hands were sliding up Seven’s ribs when their lips finally met.

It was passionate, all consuming they pulled each other close and held on tight as the kiss deepened.  Kathryn felt lightheaded and they stumbled a little trying to keep their balance. When their lips parted they remained in each other’s arms breathing deeply. Staring at one another, amazement and passion burned in their eyes. “I love you.” They both said at once. Kathryn smiled.

“Merry Christmas, Kathryn.” Seven grinned melting her Captains heart.

“Darling, the way you say my name…” They kissed again.

“Kathryn.”  And again. “Kathryn!” and again. Janeway pulled Seven towards the sofa and the two of them soon toppled down on to it, still kissing passionately. Seven enjoyed the feeling of Kathryn on top of her. Kathryn loved the way Seven’s hands massaged her bottom while they were kissing.  The next morning Tuvok sent a memo to maintenance to increase the soundproofing to the Captains quarters as soon as possible.
