Queen of Suede

Part One:

"No absolutely not! I am not wearing that costume!" I stood openmouthed, staring at the bizarre garment Seven was holding. Firstly it was blue, and blue is not my colour! Secondly it was a low cut and frilly mediaeval serving wench dress! What was she thinking?

"Then, how about this one?" Seven asked, holding up a matched set of woven suede tights and vest, they looked black at first but were actually a very deep shade of green , and the shirt was a classic soft linen poets shirt…better

"Well, they are slightly better." I said, looking up at her from where I sat on the sofa, hair half falling in my eyes.

"Kathryn, it was your idea to dress the part for this holo-game." I can’t help but smile when Seven says my name, I could feel the corner of my mouth curling before I could protest.

"What are you getting me into?" I asked in my best husky rhetorical tone. Sometimes I wonder if she has any idea how much I’m flirting with her…"OK, Seven, the green one."

"An excellent choice Cap’, sorry, Kathryn!" She smiled handing me the clothes. How anyone could resist such a beautiful smile? Seven reached back to undo the clip to her biosuit, before I quite realized what was happening she already had the arms shrugged off of her shoulders.

"Seven, Um, ah why don’t I give you some privacy, I’ll go change in the bedroom." I hurried away into my private sanctuary, trying not to think of the milky smooth strength of Seven’s shoulders. I leaned against the wall for a moment trying to compose myself. Gods what she does to me! A few moments of picturing Chakotay french-kissing Neelix and I was barely aroused at all.

The Captain, Kathryn, appeared quite flustered as she retreated to her bedroom. On the wall opposite the doorway she has a very large mirror, I could see her in the reflection, just inside the door. She leaned against the wall for a moment. Then she straightened up and began to remove her uniform. Piece by piece she stripped, tossing articles on the chaise lounge, until she was clothed only in simple platinum undergarments. The sight of her body made my breath catch. My pulse and respiration rates jumped immediately. I watched her pull the woven pants up her thighs and over her hips. Her hair obscured her face as she laced the pants. They fit her perfectly and I was pleased that I had confirmed her measurements with the database. She crouched down in the them, perhaps testing their flexibility. A very strange sensation began in my abdomen and quickly traveled lower. I tried to distract myself by donning my own costume. When my gaze returned to her mirror I could see her tying the laces at the neck of the loose shirt. Next she pulled on the matching vest, it too laced up the front. Then, Captain Janeway, composed and proper Kathryn Janeway reached into her shirt and adjusted her breasts! I felt a bit lightheaded. She looked up into the mirror. Our eyes met for a long moment. She was surprised, but there was something else in her eyes. I turned away and grabbed my short-waisted jacket from the chair behind me, the image of her burned happily into my eidetic memory.

JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

For a moment I wondered if the wench outfit may have been the less revealing of the two. The vest was fitted to show off my breasts, a little adjustment and it’ll be quite comfy. I looked up to see Seven staring at me. I was surprised, and shocked, struck by a shock wave of desire, desire like I haven’t felt in years. I blinked and she had turned her back. I ran my hands over the sensuously soft fabrics. Another wave of desire… thinking of Seven’s hands. A few deep breaths and I had convinced myself I was prepared to face her. She was seated on the sofa, dressed head to toe in black suede, pulling a soft soled high leather boot onto her left leg. The leather looked as soft as her skin, watching her slip on her other boot gave me a tiny thrill. How often had I thought about undressing her… best not to think about that now, before I make a fool of myself. How will I make it through the next few hours if I can’t keep my mind out of Seven’s pant’s.

"And what a pair of pants!"

"Kathryn?"

"What?"

"What about my pants?" Seven asked innocently.

"Huh? Oh, um they look terrific on you Seven, the whole outfit really…works." Gods how eloquent am I!?

"Thank-you Kathryn, I am very pleased that you approve. You also look, terrific in those pants." I felt myself getting warm under Seven’s gaze. "Ah! Your boots!" She turned and bent over to pick them up off the floor, granting me a lovely view of her behind. I sat down quickly to hide the weak feeling in my knees. She handed me a pair of boots much like her own, but a deep brown rather than black. I slipped the boots on, they were soft, comfortable and fit perfectly, just like everything else had.

777777777777777

I had realized some time ago that much of what I felt for my Captain was erotic in nature, however I had never imagined watching her perform such a simple task would resonate thorough my entire body. I felt a little self-conscious so I retrieved the scabbard I had chosen and proceeded to buckle it around my hips.

"Seven?, a sword?" She looked up at me, amusement touching the corners of her lips.

"Indeed Kathryn, it is a swashbuckling adventure! There is one for you too!"

"How exactly would that have gone with the dress?"

"Well, I thought it appropriate to give you more than one option however I was certain you would choose the suede." I tried to hide behind my usual efficient Borg manner.

"I see." She said simply as I handed her the sword and scabbard that fit her. I watched her struggle with it for a few moments before I intervened.

"Kathryn, it would appear that you are unfamiliar with this equipment." I stepped behind her and grasped the dual belt, quickly flipping into it’s proper position and fastening it snuggly around Kathryn’s hips. I placed my hands on her hips glad for the excuse, and looked into her eyes. She looked a little flushed.

"I did… a bit of fencing at the academy."

"Does it feel comfortable Kathryn? You are right handed so you should draw form the left." Kathryn giggled. My eyebrows rose, astonished. Then she giggled again and squirmed a little. I let go of her.

"Kathryn!"

"What." She giggled again.

"You’re giggling."

"Sorry Seven." She grinned and her shoulders shook "Are we really going to walk to the holo-deck like this?"

"Oh-no we need our hats!" I exclaimed, she had distracted me so, I had almost forgotten.

JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

I couldn’t hold back any longer, when Seven turned around proudly holding up those ridiculous hats, I burst out laughing! I laughed so hard I had to sit back down on the sofa. The hats were brown felt, with extra large and droopy brims one sported a white and green ostrich plum and the other sported one black and one white, to match Sevens dark suede costume. My sides were hurting from trying to control the laughter that simply refused to be suppressed.

"You disapprove." Seven stated biting her lip, her obvious nervousness helped choke off the giggles.

"Well, we are meant to blend in…"

"Perhaps they are too…ostentatious." She said looking rather disappointed. "Perhaps, something smaller." She strode to the replicator and returned in a few moments. By then I had gotten myself together and I smiled at her.

"I’m sorry I laughed Seven." She looked at me, those gorgeous blue eyes sparkling.

"No need to apologize Kathryn, you are quite charming when you laugh." She smiled at me. She thinks I’m charming! I wanted nothing more than to wrap my arms around her and hold her tight. "I believe we are ready Kathryn."

"Computer, site to site transport, authorization…."

77777777777777777777777

Once inside the holo-deck I called up the program, it was an amalgamation of various crewmembers programs. I was quite proud of the diversity of challenges I had programmed. Kathryn stumbled a bit as we were suddenly aboard a wildly rocking pirate ship. I grabbed her waist to steady her, finding it more pleasant every time I had a new excuse to touch her. I grabbed onto the Captains wheel and gestured for her to grab hold as well. This necessitated my arms around her as I kept my grip on the wheel.

"Captain, that island there is our destination; however it is protected by an angry sea god. You must steer us through his storm to a safe cove on the east side of the island."

"What? Seven, I don’t know how to steer one of these things! I grew up in Indiana! I’m a diver not a skipper!" I was somewhat amused at Kathryn’s agitated state.

"But you are the highest ranking officer on board."

"Trust me, Seven, if I steer our adventure is not going to last very long!"

"Alright Kathryn, however if I captain you must crew!"

"Just tell me what to do!" I felt a secret thrill hearing those words from Kathryn’s lips.

At that moment a huge wave crashed over the starboard side, soaking us both and causing Kathryn to lose her grip and slide across the deck. I yelled her name but it was drowned out by the roar of the storm. She braced herself on the gunwales and looked over her shoulder at me. She seemed to be yelling something at me but I couldn’t quite hear her. Another wave hit port and she slid back towards me, grabbing hold of my leg.

"Is this the fun part!?" she yelled up at me. Kathryn hauled herself up my leg, she looked a bit nauseous. "Next time I’ll wear a wet-suit!" She yelled in my ear as a new wave crashed, knocking her forehead into my chin. "Dammit, Seven! How do we get over there?"

"We are nearing the reef Kathryn, you must adjust the sails." A new look of alarm passed over her face! However I could see her resolve in the stubborn set of her chin.

"OK, I’ll drive! You do the sails."

JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

I grabbed hold of the wheel and used all my strength to keep us on course. Seven slipped as she made her way midship! I could see the waves breaking over the reef, we were too close and moving too fast to avoid it. Another huge wave crashed over the bow. Suddenly the wind slacked and I spun the wheel, as I heard the flap of the sail behind me. I risked a glance over my shoulder to see Seven tying something as she swayed with the movement of the ship. The waves were less brutal and we actually seemed to be moving in the right direction! Seven reappeared behind me and since there was nothing else for her to hang onto she once again took hold of the wheel, encircling me with her arms.

"Kathryn do you see it?" She leaned forward to talk to me, I leaned back to respond, turning my head so she could hear me, my lips almost brushed her cheek.

"Just past those rocks?"

"Yes."

"Looks tricky."

"We will succeed Kathryn, this is only level one." She said, completely unruffled and sure. I had to laugh. With Seven pressed up against me it was rather difficult to focus on the task at hand, however somehow we made it past the rocks. WE were trying to maneuver into the cove when the Sea God himself rose up in front of us! He was a huge muscular mass of pulsing swirling sea water, and he was raising both fists high above his head. I spun around in Seven’s arms and pulled her away from the wheel. She was laughing gleefully!

"RUN!" I yelled sliding on the wet deck. Holding each others hands we made it to the stern just as his enormous fists came crashing down! The impact launched us into the air, Flung us high over the raging sea God into the safety of the cove. I lost my grip on Seven’s hand and landed painfully on my backside, the impact with the water stinging my behind and half knocking the wind out of me! I sputtered to the surface and looked around as the Sea God roared and smashed his palms into the water, the enormous wave he caused sent me spinning towards shore. When the swirling stopped Seven was there to grab me. She was still laughing. "You’re enjoying this!" I griped at her, already getting caught up in her grin.

"Indeed Kathryn! It is a game!" I splashed water in her face by way of response. She looked shocked for a moment and then responded in kind. She dove at me and I spun to avoid her, that’s when I realized that we in the shallows. My feet found purchase and I made for the beach. Once on dry land I turned to see Seven standing in the gentle waves, hands on her hips, laughing wholeheartedly. It was the most beautiful sight I could remember seeing.

"Next time we do this, I’m wearing a wetsuit!"

"Don’t worry Kathryn, I altered the fabric to dry rapidly."

"Borg-enhanced fashion?"

"One step closer to perfection." Seven said as she reached me on the rocky beach. Perfection, Indeed!

777777777777777777777

Kathryn stared at me for along moment before looking away, a small smile playing across her lips. I couldn’t stop looking at her, the perfection of her jawbone as she turned her head, the way her wet shirt clung to the tops of her breasts.

"So, that’s the goal then?" Her husky voice traveled up my spine. I blinked; she was looking up the mountainside to the fortress. "Seven?" my eyes had returned to her lips, which suddenly held a strange fascination for me.

"Ah, Yes Cap’ Kathryn, that is indeed our goal."

"Well I’m thankful about one thing…at least we didn’t have to fight any pirates on the damned boat."

I smiled as the first rogue burst from the thick overgrown jungle, he was screaming. I pulled my sword and prepared to fight. "Aw, great!" Kathryn fumbled with her sword but soon managed to free it from its scabbard. I dispatched the first one quickly; we were soon surrounded by five of his comrades.

"Come to steal our treasures have you!" The Ugliest Pirate accused.

"You’ll die here on this rocky shore!" Another one taunted.

"Who wrote this dialogue Seven?" Kathryn asked as the Ugly one attacked. My sword clashed with his and one of his gang engaged Kathryn.

"What is wrong with the dialogue?" I asked when I had the chance. I stabbed Ugly in the stomach and quickly ducked under a wide swing from a short hairy fellow with an Eye-patch.

"It’s a little …Ugh" I glimpsed Kathryn knock one of them out with butt of her sword. "Cliched."

"These characters are from one of Mr. Paris’ holo-novels."

"I should have guessed." I turned to see Kathryn engaged with the last standing pirate, he swung at her and she ducked, throwing herself to the ground she used her legs to trip him and then quickly got to her feet, pointing the tip of her sword to his throat. "It’s your lucky day Peg leg, get lost!" She withdrew her weapon and he scrambled away from her, dropping a coiled golden whip as he ran. We both looked down at it glowing on the sand. "Seven is this one of those games where we have to collect things to get points or move on to higher levels?" Kathryn asked, her right eyebrow arching up.

"Yes Kathryn, it is."

"Guess we should pick that up then."

"Indeed."

"Well, you should take it, I’m sure you’ve assimilated more about weapons than I have."

"Yes, but you grew up in Indiana, surely you have more experience with livestock than I."

"The Borg don’t assimilate bovines?" She Smirked at me.

"No." I managed not to laugh.

"Cows are pretty smart you know…"

"There, that proves that it should be your weapon!… besides I believe you’ll find a lace on your pants that would be perfect for carrying it." She looked at her rapidly drying pants and found the leather loops.

"Planning ahead were we?" She carefully picked up the glowing whip and tied it to her waist. "Shall we?"

We proceeded into the jungle following a barely discernable path.

JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

Seven carefully picked her way along the tiny path in front of me. It was a lovely view. So far I was really enjoying myself and looking forward to seeing how this turned out, the game, and this new gleeful Seven of Nine. She stopped and half turned towards me.

"Kathryn, I hear something." We stood still and listened. Nothing. After a few moments we started moving again. Again she stopped. I nodded to tell her that I’d heard it too. We moved, it moved. We stopped, it stopped.

"Tom!" I muttered. Seven shook her head.

"Jennifer Delany." She whispered We moved, it moved, we stopped, it stopped.

"OK I’ve had enough! Olly olly oxenfree!" I yelled. Seven gasped, I stopped breathing for a moment. A giant snake appeared out of the trees, it slid down from above us and coiled itself on the path in front of us, rearing it’s head up it looked me straight in the eye. "Seven…any ideas?"

"perhaps the whip?"

"I’m more likely to take my own eye out." The snake’s eyes seemed to glow, their rays covering Seven in a blood red glow. The snake struck so fast I barely saw it move and suddenly it had engulfed Seven, I screamed.

"Kathryn." Seven yelled from where she was dangling from a tree branch, the snake turned towards me and Seven dropped onto it’s huge neck, astride it like a horse she raised her sword and plunged it into the snakes head. It reared up, throwing Seven off and then it slumped to the ground dead. I ran to her where she lay tangled in some vines.

"Seven are you all right." She winced and I was about to hit my com badge to alert the Doctor, when she opened one eye and smiled at me.

"This is even more fun than I thought it would be!" I helped her to her feet.

"Well I’m glad you’re enjoying it, Seven! But I thought you were really hurt."

"Safety protocols are set to maximum, Kathryn." She reassured me. I knew I was overreacting. She walked over to the lifeless bulk and took hold of her sword. It wouldn’t budge. She climbed up on to the snake and braced herself. Still, it wouldn’t move. "This could be a problem." She slid down off the massive serpent. "Perhaps we should proceed." She stated simply and strode on ahead of me.

"Seven, wait. Here you should take my sword", I unbuckled it, "besides I’ve got the whip." I said it like it made sense. She took it from me, looking rather distracted. "Seven, what’s bothering you?" I put my hand on her arm, like I’d done so often. Her face seemed to soften as she looked down at my fingers.

"I did not program that creature Kathryn. I am concerned that something has gone wrong with the program."

"Computer, end program!" I ordered, the projection around us flickered for a moment but remained intact. "Wonderful, now what?"

"I suggest we proceed Kathryn."

777777777777777777777777

We continued through the thick foliage until we arrived at the stone foundations of the fortress. Picking our way quietly through the vines at it’s base I spotted a circular opening in the wall. It was chest height for me and half a metre in diameter.

"Kathryn, I believe this is our way in." I whispered.

"Lovely." She said her was voice heavy with sarcasm, but she was still smiling. "Seven, why are we whispering?"

"It seems most appropriate under the circumstances, Kathryn." She half shrugged and nodded her ascent, her charming smirk curling her lips. "Shall I help you up?"

"Alright." She placed her hands on the rim of the opening and I lifted her by her hips, for a woman of such presence she’s really quite light. "There’s not a lot of room to turn around in here." She called back. I pulled myself up into the stone tube, to be greeted by the sight Kathryn Janeway on her hands and knees, her lovely shaped bottom towards me, she was glancing over her shoulder.

"I believe it will become larger the further along we travel." I distinctly heard her chuckle. "Everything alright, Kathryn?"

"Perfect, Seven. Just Perfect." The lush smell of the forest was replaced by a rather fetid stench. Kathryn started crawling a bit faster. Then she stopped abruptly.

Unfortunately I crawled right into her and had to catch her hips to keep her from falling. "Did you bring light, Seven? I can’t see a damned thing!"

"One moment, Kathryn I had planned for this possibility by adjusting my ocular implant to produce a small beam of light." The damp stone work was illuminated in dim green. Kathryn was sitting half twisted around looking at me. She had lost her bandana and her usually perfect hair was wildly disarrayed, there was a smudge of dirt on her left cheekbone.

"What?" She asked quietly.

"You look…"

"A mess, I’m sure. I’m half soaked and all grimy."

"you are beautiful, Kathryn." It was a simple statement of truth, and yet saying it made me feel rather flushed. Even in the dim light I could see colour rise in her face.

"Thank-you Seven, you’re quite beautiful yourself. You do know that? Don’t you?" I felt suddenly monstrous, half Borg projecting a beam of unnatural light.

"I am Borg." I dropped my eyes from hers.

"and therefore closer to perfection." I thought she was taunting me, but when I looked up there was a look of great tenderness in her eyes.

"Thank-you, Kathryn."

"So…maybe you should take the lead since you have the light."

"There is not enough room to pass."

"Sure there is, I’ve been in tighter spots."

JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ

Not that I wanted to think about that Cardassian cage. I blocked the memory and turned myself around. I lay on my stomach.

"There’s enough room if you crawl over me, Seven." It was a tight fit. The feel of her breasts sliding up my back caused a wave of desire to flow out from my hips. All bad memories disappeared in one blissful moment hearing Seven of Nine’s breath in my ear as she gingerly climbed over me. When she was past I moved back into a crawl. I had a flashback of repairing relays with Seven, I knew I’d never think of Jeffries tubes in the same way.

"Can you see alright, Kathryn?"

"Absolutely!" A few moments later the tunnel gradually began to widen, a few minutes more and we were walking upright, albeit a little hunched over. Our strange passageway ended abruptly. We looked down upon a weird scene. Large heavy bodied beasts, or were they humanoid? Lay about apparently asleep. Most were sprawled on the floor, but many lay on benches or over tables. Loud snores echoed through the room. They were about two decks below us, we appeared to be in one of several air vents. There was a large bracket above us with a stiff woven mat attached to it. A thin rope was tied to the bottom. It was not thick enough to take our weight. There was only one door down at their level, it was made of metal bars. "Let me guess we’ve got to get to that door."

"I believe so, Kathryn, it would be best if we did not wake the beasts." Seven whispered in my ear.

"I have an idea…you see these hooks on the wall." I crouched down and leaned out over the edge a little. Seven joined me. "They probably held up a tapestry or something, I think we could climb down using them."

"They do not come within safe distance of the floor, Kathryn."

"Then, I guess we’ll have to jump from the last one."

"I will go first." I moved out of the way to let her maneuver. She reached down to the first iron circle and slowly swung her weight off of the ledge. I leaned over to watch. Holding tight with one hand she swung and grabbed the ring next to it. She was on the top corner and from there she simply had to reach down to the ring she was standing on and then drop her feet to the next. It wasn’t graceful, or easy, but she did make it to the bottom. Hanging by both hands on the last ring she let go and slid down the wall, landing with barely a thud in her soft boots. She gestured for me to follow. I followed her path. It’s been a long time since I’ve played on a jungle-gym, my shoulder muscles were burning by the time I swung myself to the corner. Holding onto the ring my feet barely reached the one below. Clearly, Seven’s height gave her an advantage. I would have to drop and grab. I found my balance and let go of the top ring. Barely breathing I walked my hands down the wall as I moved into a crouch. Once I had both hands on that ring I dropped one leg; sliding it down the wall and kept the other hooked over the ring for as long as I could. I was far less graceful than Seven but eventually I reached the last ring. I slid down so I was hanging by my arms. I could see her below me and smell the sweaty beasts nearby. I dropped down, Seven skillfully caught me in her arms. It felt delightful and silly at the same time. We smiled at each other.

"Wh-arg!" One of the creatures roared and Seven placed me on the floor. Without thinking I started running for the door. It was jammed. Seven began to pry the bars apart. Since she was busy I had to defend us. I ripped the whip from its ties and snapped it to uncoil it; it kicked back and hit the wall next to my head. I yelled at the approaching beasts. Most were still waking up, but several were lumbering angrily towards us. I snapped the whip at the nearest one and it seemed to slice right through its skin. It roared in pain. Its’ fellows made a lunge but moved away from the whip. I sliced off an arm and exposed another’s ribs.

"Does it have to be this gory!" I called to Seven.

"Kathryn, I’m through!" Seven called, I could feel her hand on my back, pulling my vest. I moved back, snapping the whip in wide arcs. A quick glance behind and I twisted and pressed myself though the bars. One of the creatures lunged at me and grabbed the whip. I dropped it and stumbled back..

777777777777777777777777777

There were voices calling from somewhere down the hall.

"We must hurry." I said to Kathryn. We turned and ran towards a narrow doorway; I fumbled to disable the light from my implant. We ducked into the doorway and pressed ourselves into the shadows, which meant that Kathryn was pressed up against me. She had her arms tight around my waist and I could feel her heart beating rapidly against my chest. A dozen or so armored men rushed past down the corridor. My arms were around Kathryn’s shoulders. She looked up at me and I gazed down at her. My own heart thumped with excitement.

"Now we’re getting to the fun part." She said her voice husky form exertion. I wished we were no longer on the holodeck, but that we were someplace private, where I could simply hold her in my arms for as long as I wanted. It did not appear that she wished to change our position either. The voices were moving back in our direction.

"I guess we need to get moving." She said with disappointment. We loosed our mutual grip, but then Kathryn reached down and grabbed my hand, pulling me towards the narrow spiraling staircase at the end of our dark and narrow passage. She kept my hand in hers as we raced up the stairs, which was difficult as there was barely room for one person to move. I saw torchlight below us.

"They are pursuing us, Kathryn."

"Let’s keep running." At the top of the stairs we found ourselves in a small octagonal chamber with high stained glass windows. In the centre of the room was a stone dais, and standing upon that was a small ornate mirror. I let go of Kathryn’s hand and turned back towards the stair, stepping down a few step steps to meet the warriors climbing up. I grabbed his torch before he knew what was happening and put my boot on his chest, shoving him backwards he tumbled onto his partner. They were a writhing mass of arms and armor trapped in the tight space. I climbed back up to the room. As I passed through the arched doorway it became a wall of flame.

"I see we won’t be using that Exit." Kathryn drawled. "Come look at this Seven." I walked over to the dais. The mirror was reflective on both sides. "Watch this." Kathryn reached out to touch one side of the mirror, her hand sank right through.

"Curious, this must be the key to the next level."

"Yes but how." We tried one and then both hands thorough the mirror. Then we tried one hand from each side, nothing seemed to work. "Alice!" Kathryn exclaimed.

"Alice?"

"Alice in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass! We’ve got to look through it Seven! That must be it." Kathryn leaned over and braced her hands on the dais, then she pressed her face through the surface of the mirror.

"Can you see anything?" She pulled her face back, it seemed to shine somehow.

"Yes! I could see the holo-grid! But it was still overlaid with this projection."

"Perhaps, the other side." I moved opposite her and pressed my face beyond the border of the glass. I stepped back. "Perhaps, if we both looked at the same time?"

"But it’s not big enough for both our faces at once."

"It is if was each only use one side, Kathryn."

"Alright, let’s try it." We resumed our positions. Pressing my face though the mirror this time the holo-grid was quite clear, and it seemed the further in I was the clearer it became. I could see Kathryn opposite me. "It’s working, Seven!" she said getting closer. In the mirror-realm we were almost face to face and another mirror appeared. Pressing onward through that mirror I couldn’t see anything, but I could feel hands, Kathryn’s hands, I was sure of it. Pulling me closer, and closer and then her lips were on my lips and I was kissing her, like I’d often wanted to, like I’d imagined. Sometimes entire regeneration cycles were filled with that one thought. I stumbled forward and opened my eyes, which I thought had been open. Once again Kathryn and I were in each other’s arms. We were standing in the empty holo-deck. She leaned towards me and kissed me again. This kiss was more insistent, more passionate, Kathryn moaned and I felt it reverberate down my throat. "Let’s get the hell out of here, darling."

"Darling?" I smiled.

"You don’t mind?"

"Indeed I do not." I pulled her closer for another searing kiss. "I would like to continue this adventure, perhaps in your quarters?"

"Absolutely." We strode out of the holo-deck arm in arm, filthy, disheveled and grinning. The adventure had only begun.

Part 2
