~Risks~

Delicate interwoven lines of pain etched their way down her injured arm. Captain Janeway slumped against the soft sofa. She hadn't meant for this to happen, it just had. No one wanted her to go on the away team, but she had insisted with all the feverish passion of her post. And for her foolish behavior she had nearly lost her life. Kathryn had gone with the security detail to scout the position of the hostages. She had been taken by surprise. If it hadn't been for Tuvok's quick thinking Voyager would be without its Captain right now. She had been wounded but the Doctor quickly patched her up in between his scoldings. She reminded him that the hostages had been released and the mission a success. He reminded her again, that she almost lost her life. Kathryn had been taking more and more risks recently. Unnecessary risks that even she couldn't explain. She was sick of having to keep everything together all the time. She wanted someone else to be in charge. She just needed a break. That's why she had created her holodeck program. It was the perfect escape. And she found that after she used it she could keep herself together for several weeks. Kathryn hadn't used the holodeck in nearly a month and look what it got her. She was worried she had become dependent on it and felt it could interfere with her ability to command. So, instead she goes off half-cocked on a dangerous mission. It was time to reassess her priorities. With that thought Kathryn took off towards the holodeck. Her recently broken arm still hurt but the doctor assured her everything had healed quite nicely.

Given her injuries she had taken the day off so no one would miss her if she spent several hours nurturing herself in fantasy. She called up her program and engaged all the necessary locking functions. Once inside the holodeck she stepped into a replica of her girlhood home on Earth. Everything was perfect, even the smell of apple pie coming from the kitchen. She didn't know why she liked this setting so much. Sure, she was homesick, but it was more than that. She felt safe here. But what was strange was that it wasn't her parents or sister she came here to visit. Kathryn walked upstairs to her bedroom and changed out of her uniform. She put on a nice sun dress and lay down on the bed. It had been so long since she had truly slept. The last time she slept for more than two hours in a row was the very last time she visited this place.

Even though she was tired she couldn't quite drift off to sleep. Kathryn felt the familiar pangs of anxiety settle into her stomach. She had created the program to start off with a variable amount of time. There was no telling how long the computer would keep her waiting, but that was part of the fun. It was the moment she heard the front door open and shut that she became truly nervous. This always happened. Even though she knew she could tell the computer to end the program at any moment she still suffered fear. But this was what she needed, this fear and her ability to surrender to it. She heard the footsteps on the stair case signifying Seven's approach. What a strange selection Kathryn had thought at the time. When she created the program she had the computer pick a random character to fill the part that Seven now played. But it hadn't worked for her. She realized she needed it to be someone she knew. Someone who held some real power over her. The person had to be commanding, authoritative, and physically strong. She couldn't think of anyone better then Seven to fit that role.

Seven walked into her bedroom and shut the door behind her. This Seven was so different then the one who served on Voyager. Kathryn had made this Seven more Borg like. She had programmed this Seven with the typical Borg eye-piece in place. Then she had given her more of a realistic Borg appendage on her hand. Yes, this Seven was more of a drone and for some reason that was exactly what Kathryn needed.

Seven cocked her head to the side before demanding Kathryn address her.

"What happened today?" Seven spoke clearly without inflection. She also never moved once when she spoke. All very commanding and serving its purpose to intimidate her. Kathryn relayed the story of the faulty away mission without any flourish. Seven hated adjectives and descriptions. Seven only ever wanted facts.

"Are you aware your presence is required on Voyager for this ship to function properly?" Seven spoke.

"Yes, I'm the Captain I'm important to the ship and her crew." Kathryn replied know quite clearly where this conversation was going.

"Then why did you risk your life and the well-being of Voyager today?" Seven demanded.

"I wasn't thinking clearly I made a mistake." Kathryn looked away when addressing Seven.

"Then it was a mistake that must be rectified." Seven stated before grabbing Kathryn. This part always surprised her. The moment when Seven approached her physically always made her fight back. Their fights never lasted too long. But Kathryn fought her with all the emotions she had. She vented all her fears, frustrations, and loneliness on the Borg replica of her Seven. Her drone character always took it, just like today. The drone quickly subdued her, using efficient Borg strength. Kathryn was still struggling when the drone upended her over her knees.

Getting a spanking is a painful act from a Borg Drone. And Kathryn kicked, squirmed and punched to no end. Today, Seven was spanking her with her Borg hand, something that always hurt 10 times worse then when she used the human one. After several minutes Seven pulled Kathryn's panties down revealing an already sore bottom. But she spanked her until Kathryn thought she was on fire. For some brief moments Kathryn even wondered if the holodeck safety protocols had failed. But when she stopped struggling and just lay their silently crying Seven eased up. Kathryn allowed her own foolishness that day to wash over her as Seven finished up the spanking. Finally, the spanking stopped all together and Seven allowed Kathryn to return to her own feet.

Kathryn stood in front of Seven with a face red and swelled from tears. Kathryn resisted the urge to rub her bottom. She knew Seven wouldn't take kindly to that mild act of defiance.

"So, what is the appropriate course of behavior to take?" Seven questioned her.

"I shouldn't take unnecessary risks, Voyager and her crew need me to do by duty." Kathryn replied through large tears.

"Very good." Seven answered.

This was her favorite part of the program. When Seven would lie down on her bed next to her. She would hold her as she released all the rest of her tears. And she would hold her as she slept. Kathryn rested her head again Seven's breast. She felt Seven's Borg hand lightly stroking her hair. As she was being lulled to sleep she wondered what it would be like to do this with her Seven of Nine. The thought put a smile on her face and then she slept for hours without a care in the world.
