She

Captain Kathryn Janeway made her way back to her quarters with a bit of a pep in her step Neelix's inproptu ancestor's celebration. Had put a new meaning to the word faimly in her vocabulary. She couldn't help but let her mind wander back to the past few day's.

She and a few members of her command staff sat in her quarters discussing there ancestors Tom sat in a chair off to her right Harry across from her and Neelix off to her left but it was the other occupant that sat next to her that her thoughts now settled upon. Seven of Nine had taken the seat right next to her.

As she was louging on the couch Seven sat relaxing it was a site Janeway had relished. The two of them had formed a special bond since Seven's severing from the collective yet there new found understanding of one another was becoming more and more intimate as the days grew. Now Janeway wasn't sure where they were heading.

"Computer play music selection Janeway- Seven."

She maybe the face I can't forget,
the trace of pleasure or regret
Maybe my treasure or the price I have to pay
She maybe the song the summer sings maybe the chill
the autum brings or a hundred different things
Within the measure of a day
She maybe the beauty or the beast
She can turn each day into a heaven or a hell
She maybe the mirror of my dreams
Her smile reflected in a stream
She maynot be what she may seem inside her shell
but me I'll take her laughter and her tears and make
them all my sovoneiurs for where she goes I've got
to be for the meaning of my life is she.

Why do you torture yourself Katie. Seven is not the wifely type and that is really what you want. A partner and equal someone to share the long burden and the even longer nights with. Sighing Janeway leaned back in her chair. Drapping an am over her eyes she let herself think of the yonger woman.

Seven walked thru the corridors of Voyager she had managed to get the picture the Doctor had managed to take and was now on her way to give it to her Kathryn. She had not been prepared for the world wind of emotions the mere thought of faimly would evoke in her Captain. No Kathryn. Yes the name sounded so much better. Yet Seven had no hope in ever being able to say it out loud at least not to the other woman no that was a dream one Seven held closely to her heat. Gazing at the picture she now held the thought of Neelix's earlier statment's began to ring true. A little Seven point Five would not be a bad idea if it where with Kathryn. Smiling at the idea Seven made her way to the Captains door.

It was well past midnight normally Seven would just ring the charm not really worring if the Captain was awake but now she heistaited for just an instant not knowing wheather the Captain would be open to such an intrusion seeing as she had not left the other womans pressence less than an hour ago.

Pushing her trepidation aside she rang the charm. The nosie statled the older woman out of her reverie. There could only be one person who dared ring the door in the middle of the night. With a smile Janeway sat up and called out.

"Come." The doors parted and in she walked there was a slight hesitation to her movements as she entered the room. Janeway had spent the last four years picking up on the blondes subtle quirks and new something was up. As Tom Paris had been so found of stating.

"Captain I have brought.." Seven was unsure how to proceed. It was just a picture no it was more than that. She was in over head what ever that meant. "Seven are you alright?" Janeway asked a bit concerned rising from her chair she was over to the younger woman in an instant. Seven couldn't help the blush that now creeped her cheeks as she watched the smaller woman fuss over her leding her to the couch Seven down pulling Janeway with her the redhead was hard pressed to find herself in the blondes lap.

Seven realized that it was now or never. Kissing her into silence Kathryn's thoughts where pushed from her mind as she let this heavenly woman wash over her. It had taken a force stronger than her to bring the two of them together and this was not something she was willing to give up.
