Save a life, Find a friend.
Chapter 1.
Unusual findings.
"Captain.... there's a ship up ahead." Tom Paris reported.
"On Screen." Katheryn Janeway ordered.
"Yes, Ma'am." and the image of a wrecked ship came onscreen.
"It's Starfleet... but how did it get in that state?" Katheryn stated. "Get a
small landing group together... unless someone would care to volunteer?"
"I shall." Seven offered, entering the bridge.
"Ok... never mind the group... It'll be just us." Katheryn decided. "Come Seven..."
and the two left the bridge.
Chapter 2.
Rescue Mission.
The two soon landed inside the ship, the wreck of a ship anyway. They split,
Seven headed to the cargo bay, Janeway to the bridge. On arriving at the bridge
Katheryn noticed a severely ruined ship bridge and a mostly dead crew. Sighing
slightly Katheryn headed over to the captain, feeling for a pulse.
"Janeway to Seven."
"Seven here...."
"I could use help up here."
"I will comply."
"Ok, Janeway out."
Seven soon arrived and they carried the unconscious captain to their small
landing pod.
"Captain?"
"Mmmm?"
"I noticed a drone, an ex-drone, much like me...."
"Let me guess... It's not functioning properly but you'd like to save it?"
"Yes captain."
"Alright, lead on..."
Seven lead Katheryn back to the bridge and they collected the ex-drone. The two
were soon on their way back to voyager.
Chapter 3.
Sickbay.
The minute they got back to Voyager, Janeway and Seven carried the captain and
ex-borg drone up to sickbay.
The EMH worked hard to find what was wrong then he did what he could to start
them on the road to recovery. Seven stayed by the ex-drone's biobed and watched
her patiently. Janeway waited beside the other captains biobed and watched.
On the fourth day of that week the captain and ex-drone seemed to be quite a bit
better than they had been.
Chapter 4.
Discovering old friends.
By the fifth day Janeway was pretty sure she knew the other captain, she just
needed to be sure. She looked carefully at the silent captain, then she noticed
the tiny scar on the captains wrist. It was, her old friend and lover, it was
Karen Janaway.
On the sixth day Seven noticed a small birthmark above the other ex-drone's
starburst implant, it proved the ex-drone was Nine of Nine, otherwise known,
before the borg attack, as Agnetha Heraldsman.
Chapter 5.
Awoken.
On the final day of that week Janaway and Agnetha finally regained consiousness.
The second Janaway opened her eyes she recognised Janeway. "Katheryn?" she asked,
trying to sit up.
"Yes, Karen." Katheryn smiled and helped her old companion stand. "Shall we head
to my quarters?" Karen nodded and the two headed off, Katheryn supporting Karen
all the way.
A Few Minutes Later...
Agnetha woke up and looked up at the kind face above her. "S...Seven? Annika?"
"Yes, yes I am.... Agnetha." Annika smiled.
"Where am I?"
"Voyager."
"Oh...."
"Yes, I know... come on, let's go to my quarters." Annika smiled.
"You... you have quarters?" Agnetha asked, standing, somewhat unsteadily.
"Yes... Come..." Annika smiled, supporting Agnetha.
Chapter 6.
Discovery.
Janeway settled Karen into a chair as soon as they got inside Janeway's quarters.
Karen watched as Katheryn settled herself into a chair. Katheryn looked over at
Karen. "We need to discuss these..."
"Feelings?" Karen interjected, questioningly.
"Feelings." Katheryn agreed.
"Why? We both feel them! That's all I need......"
"But I love another also." Katheryn objected. "and so do you... don't..." She
said, holding up a hand to stop Karen's objection. "don't say you don't, I saw
the way you looked at her before coming here."
Karen didn't reply, she sat silent, staring at Katheryn in surprise. She then
moved quickly, to stand, to leave. Katheryn stood and pushed her back down into
the chair gently. "But I do still feel something for you." and before Karen
could do or say anything more they shared a soft kiss. Katheryn looked into
Karen's gentle blue eyes and smiled. Her hands gently clasped Karen's head,
fingers tangling into Karen's soft brown hair. Karen smiled a reply, looking
into Katheryn's blue-gray eyes and she moved to touch Katheryn's strong,
sensible bun, pulling it free, releasing Katheryn's auburn hair, which flowed
gently onto her shoulders.
Chapter 7.
Before Borg.
When Annika lead Agnetha into her quarters she instantly sat her down on the
couch. "Seem familiar?" She asked lightly.
"Slightly, the memories have faded somewhat." Agnetha answered softly, her voice
hinting at her sadness. Her normally greeny-blue eyes shone a deep green,
showing her sadness. Annika glanced at Agnetha then, her icy blue eyes showing
empathy.
"Don't be sad." Annika whispered, hand gently tugging on the clip at the back of
Agnetha's hair. Agnetha's golden-blonde hair cascaded down over her shoulders
curling under her arms. Agnetha gave a shivery sigh, then started silently
crying. "Shhh..." Annika soothed, gently holding Agnetha and wiping her tears
away. Agnetha slowly stopped crying, pulling the clip, holding Annika's icy
blonde hair up, out and watching as it tumbled gracefully down beneath her arms.
Agnetha looked up to Annika and Annika gently brushed her lips onto Agnetha's,
initiating a gentle, caressing, kiss. "That will be our last kiss as a "couple"."
Annika said, after breaking the kiss. "I love another... and I'm sure you do too."
Agnetha sighed and nodded.
"Karen.." She smiled. "She's called Karen."
"Your captain?" Annika said, surprised. "Well, we seem alike in more than way."
"You love your captain?" Agnetha smiled. "Katheryn?"
"Yes, I love Katheryn with all my heart."
Chapter 8.
Together again.
Janeway stood, pulling Karen up with her. "Come, I'll take you to your quarters
, until you leave, you'll live there, Annika will soon be bringing your love."
Karen smiled, allowing Katheryn to lead her. They were soon outside the quarters.
"I'll wait out here for Annika and your girl."
Karen smiled. "Thank you." She said softly, turning and entering the quarters.
Annika soon arrived and the girl, Agnetha, entered the room.
Chapter 9.
New room, Old passion.
Karen had drifted into a light sleep on the bed, she woke only when Agnetha
kissed her lightly on the lips. Karen turned, she pulled the covers over them
both and then they silently removed their clothes, the only sound being the
ragged breaths of the pair. They kissed again, passionately, and each felt the
pang for satisfaction they'd longed for.
Janeway and Annika moved away, leaving the pair to enjoy and please each other.
Chapter 10.
Leaving again.
After another ten days, during which Katheryn started to fall ill and caught a
cough, Karen and Agnetha left. As soon as they'd taken off Katheryn gave a harsh
cough and felt her legs give way, she'd lost consiousness before she'd hit the
floor. Annika had swiftly moved to catch her.
Chapter 11.
Katheryn weak.
Annika swiftly gathered Katheryn to her and tapped her commbadge. " Emergency
transport to sickbay, two to beam." She swept Katheryn up into her arms as they
transported.
She quickly lay Katheryn on a bio-bed, looking worried, then stood, watching
over her.
The EMH soon arrived, felt for Katheryn's pulse, "Weak but steady." and quickly
gave her the medicine and jabs needed. He quietly reassured Annika that Katheryn
would wake soon and be allowed back to quarters, on one condition, Annika was to
stay with her.
A few minutes later Katheryn woke and looked up at Annika. "What happened?" she
asked, eyes clouding with worry.
Annika knelt beside Katheryn's bio-bed. "You passed out due to a flu and cough,
you're alright now." She said softly, not wanting to worry Katheryn more. When
Katheryn started to cry Annika gently picked her up, settling her into her lap,
holding Katheryn to her. "Shhh..." She soothed lovingly. "It's ok... I'm here.
Katheryn , please, stop crying..." and gently brushed the tears away.
Chapter 12.
Annika supporting.
Over the next few days, Katheryn slowly got better, physically at least, she
still bore a few mind problems and suffered from nightmares. These nightmares
were often eased by Annika's gentle touch on Katheryn's shoulder and an arm
wrapped 'round her waist. Eventually the two grew closer than ever before and
Katheryn had soon healed both mentally and physically. Annika still stayed close,
through love, not need.
Chapter 13.
Katheryn and Annika adored.
The pair soon discovered an easy and loving touch arrive. One particularly cold
night , after a long and tiring day, Annika changed into her "Jammies" (as
Katheryn put it.) then returned to the bedroom, she discovered a tired looking
Katheryn , still in her uniform and moved to sit by her. "Katheryn?" She asked
softly.
"MMM?"
"Are you unwell? you seem... exhausted."
"I'm not ill." Katheryn murmured, yawning slightly. "just exhausted."
"You need to change into your... bedwear." Annika reminded her gently, "Unless
you'd like me to help?" When Katheryn yawned again, tired, Annika smiled softly
and helped her into her "bedwear" Annika then tucked Katheryn in and curled
beside her, after walking to the other side. Katheryn turned, resting her head
on Annika's shoulder and snuggling into her gentle embrace. "Night Katheryn
sweetheart."
"Night Annika, Dearheart." and the two shared a goodnight kiss then slept.
Chapter 14.
Feeling Loved.
The next night the lovers shared a fun night, exploring each other and enjoying
each others company. The two settled into a routine, Annika gently holding
Katheryn whilst asleep, Katheryn holding Annika during their sessions together.
Both fell asleep each night feeling loved.
