Seven's Habits of Highly Inefficient Crewmembers

1. Ironing. Many of the crew spend excessive amounts of time to iron their uniforms so that they meet regulation. This is a waste of time because of the fact that serving on Voyager tends to cause wrinkles. This situation is easily remedied by wearing your uniform as tight as possible, thus prohibiting the formation of unsightly wrinkles.

2. Dying. Dying significantly reduces the productivity of a crewperson. They are not longer able to perform their duties, and often their dying requires the cleansing of the area where they perished. Also, memorial services for a deceased crewmember waste time that could be spent doing more important things. As Voyager is not like the Collective and cannot assimilate new member for its crew, dying also poses the risk that eventually all of the crew will be dead, and no one will be able to run the ship.

3. Being an ensign. Not only are ensigns less productive by nature, they also have a death rate similar to that of lower ranking crewmembers. To alleviate this problem, all ensigns should be demoted to the rank of crewman.

4. Using the holodeck. Holodecks function on their own power grids, but extensive amounts of time must go into using and upkeeping a holodeck program. Also, in the past there have been numerous instances where problems that affected the efficiency of the whole ship have started in the holodeck. Holodeck usage should be kept to a minimum and used only in areas where no alien life forms have been detected.

5. Drinking coffee. Drinking coffee takes time, and so if inefficient. Also, drinking coffee reduces the supply of coffee that the Captain has to call on. The Captain becomes highly inefficient without a proper amount of coffee. Crewmembers should reduce the amount of coffee they drink in order to make sure than the Captain does not miss out on her coffee and accidentally cause someone to do something that would cause problems for the ship.

6. Sleeping. Sleeping is not productive. Nothing gets done while sleeping. Regeneration, on the other hand, combines sleeping with several other time wasting activities, which overall makes it more productive. Crewmembers should be encouraged to either sleep less, or attempt to do other things while they are asleep.

7. Going to the bathroom. Going to the bathroom on Voyager takes an excessive amount of time, as there is only one such facility on the ship. Crewmembers should reduce their food and beverage intake in order to reduce the amount of time they must invest in going to the bathroom.

8. Having contact with aliens. This would include Neelix, as he is highly inefficient. Dealing with aliens, in one form or another, often causes problems for Voyager. Resolving problems with aliens takes even more time away from the crew. Not to meant causing death and wrinkles.

9. Talking to the Captain. Talking to the Captain reduces the amount of time being able to do other things. It also reduces the amount of time the Captain has to talk to important people, like me. Crewmembers should instead go to Commander Chakotay to talk. That's what he's there for.
