Personal Log, Seven of Nine, Stardate 56798.4

I have the knowledge of thousands of individuals at my direct disposal, and yet I find myself lacking in the most basic of human emotions. For this reason, I have devised a devise that would allow me to relive certain childhood memories, while feeling the emotions that accompany them, as if it was happening to me currently. I believe that this action would enable me to be able to fully grasp some emotions that are now so elusive to me. This devise will interface with the part of my brain that has not been compromised by borg technology, and through the natural electrical impulses that my brain uses to interface with my cortical implant, I believe that I can access many memories, and emotions that have been lost to me for so long. I have told no one of this action that I am going to undertake, for I fear that it would be met with an unfavorable response. I do understand the ramifications of such an action, and it is my decision to undertake. There is a 94.65743 percent possibility that I would sustain some damage. This allows me to believe that the pros outweigh the cons. I plan to utilize this devise in my next regeneration period, witch will take place in approxamently 14.32 hours. I find that I am excited that I will finally be able to understand the things that would make me more human. . . That will allow me to love.

"Bridge to Captain Janeway. . . Captain, please respond." Captain Kathryn Janeway reached blindly for her Comm badge in the dark, groping her way through the various items on her nightstand before reaching what she was looking for.
"Janeway here, what's going on?" Kathryn rubbed her eyes, and suppressed a yawn.
"I hate to disturb you at such a late hour, but the computer indicates that we are in the direct path of a spacial anomaly. The sensors indicate that the anomaly has some strange readings that could affect the power supply."
"How far away are we." She replied, while standing and putting on her robe.
"Less that one light year. That's the problem Captain, the thing just keeps getting closer to us. We have altered course three times, and each time, it followed. . . in a direct intercept path."
Janeway sighed, and headed for her ensuite. "Thank you Ensign. Alert the appropriate members of the crew. I will be up there in a minute."
"Understood." Came the final reply from the bridge.
Standing in front of the sink, Kathryn studied her reflection in the mirror. There were dark circles under her eyes, and she realized that she needed to get some more sleep.
"Computer, State the time." She climbed into the shower, and heard the soft tones of the computer reply "Oh-three-hundred hours, and twenty-seven minutes."
"Oh god." She sighed, as the water cascaded over her.

"Papa. . . That's not fair, you cheated!"
"I did no such thing. Your father doesn't cheat young lady, you just can't win all the time." Magnus Hansen gently touched his daughters nose, and smiled at her.
"Yes I can. . . I can do anything."
"That's right Annika, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. . . except your mother and i."
Annika giggled, and hugged her father. "I love you Papa." She said, a yawn escaping from her small mouth. "I love you too. Now, you better get to bed before your mother comes in here and finds out that I let you play one more game. "
"Ok," she said, settling down in her small bed. "Papa?" She asked, as he walked out the door.
"Yes. . ."
"Tell Mama that I love her too."
"I will, now get to sleep."
"Good-night."
Annika closed her eyes, and tried to sleep, she really did, but she kept thinking about things. Scary things. She cowered down in her bed. She didn't want to be out here. She wanted to go home, but her parents had to come out to space to find the Borg. She didn't want her parents to know, but she was afraid of them. They looked funny, and it probably hurt to be assimilated. She knew one thing, her parents would protect her no matter what, because they loved her. She breathed a little easier and started to drift off to sleep. A sudden and immense pain swept over her, and she couldn't move. Annika opened her eyes, but she was no longer in bed. She was standing in a large metal thing, with green flashing lights. She started to move away as fast as she could, but the pain came again. Her head felt fuzzy, and she fell forward in a dead faint.

Kathryn entered the turbolift as a red alert was sounded. "Janeway to the bridge, report." She barked into the Comm badge on her chest.
"Captain, " Came back the clipped tones of Chakotay. "The anomaly is picking up speed and gaining on us. The sensors can't get a clear reading on what exactly is going on inside of it, or what effect it will have on the ships systems. Wait. . . It's picking up speed again. . . Oh no. . ." Static greeted Janeway from the other end of the communication system, and she slapped the badge several times in a futile attempt to regain some kind of message. The turbo lift stopped suddenly, and all the lights went out, leaving her in complete darkness, A distinct wining sound could be heard all around her, and for a moment she thought that she was in trouble of the worst kind. The sound stopped just as soon as it started, and the rumbling of her ship stopped. The lights flickered back on, and the lift started moving. She sighed a breath of relief, when the lift opened and she saw the familiar sights and sounds of the bridge.
"Report." She said, while walking to her chair. Harry Kim at the ops station rubbed his forehead in dismay. "Communication is still offline, Damage reports are still coming in from all decks. No serious damage is reported. Slight microfracures in the warp core. Three injured. None dead."
Janeway was thankful for her good luck once again.
"Communication is back online." Harry said, looking down at his console.
"Doctor, whats going on down there." Janeway asked, concerned about her injured crewmembers.
" Lt. Bahes apparently got hit with falling objects, Ensign Pewes broke his leg, and Seven of Nine sustained the most damage. She was regenerating with the anomaly hit, and it sent a power surge through her alcove. There are abnormal brain patterns, and it appears that she is having some type of convulsions." The doctor replied.
"Understood." She said. "Keep me posted on her condition."
Janeway sighed and closed her eyes. She was extremely worried about Seven, but her duty to her ship came first. She began barking out orders, and generally taking control of the situation, but in the back of her mind, constantly, was Seven of Nine.

The doctor looked at his readout again, and again. Unable to ascertain why Seven hadn't woken up yet. Her nanoprobes had repaired most of her damage, and he had treated the rest. She was in perfect, normal condition, but why didn't she wake up. A simple hypospray should have done the trick, but it hadn't, leaving the bald hologram with a problem to ponder. He eventually decided that she was in a coma. The ships systems were repaired three days ago, and they were once again on their way to the alpha quadrant. There had been no further sign of the anomaly, nor any residual damage as a result of the ship's encounter. Everything was back to normal, just as it should be, except for Seven of Nine. Her cortical implant was functioning properly, as was everything else. The Captain had been severely upset when he couldn't make any progress with Seven, and he hated telling her that Seven was in a coma. "It's completely up to Seven now Captain. Its her decision to wake up, I can't change that, and neither can you." Her had said to her, and she glared at him, and walked away. The hologram rubbed his head, and walked away from Seven's readouts, noticing that there was still no change. He was making his way to his office, when his patient suddenly moved. He was back at her side, and was thrilled to see some change on her readout. She was coming around. "Doctor to the Captain." He said, responding to an order that she had giving him about contacting her if there was any change in Seven's condition.
"Janeway here."
"Captain, Seven is waking up." He replied, the joy apparent in his holographic voice.
"On my way."

Janeway practically ran through the sickbay doors. It had taken almost all of her will power to keep away from the sick bay as long as she had. If it was up to her, she would have worked from here the entire time, but she was the Captain. It just wouldn't do to have the Captain spend all her time in sickbay with a crewmember, Even if it was Seven.
She saw Seven's body twitch and move as she walked up to the bio bed that she was on. She didn't say a word to the Doctor, nor vice versa. They were both watching Seven for any signs of danger that might arise. Janeway's heart was aching for the borg.
Suddenly, Ice blue eyes peered up at them. Confusion was noticeable in her eyes. Seven sat up quickly, with frightened motions.
"W. . . Who are you." She said in a timid voice, that neither the Doctor nor the Captain would have been able to recognize as Seven's.
"You don't know who we are?" The Doctor asked, and was stunned when the blonde shook her head and her eyes filled up with tears.
"Do you know who you are?" He asked again, hoping for some kind of verbal response. He and Janeway were both surprised at what came out of Seven's mouth.
"My name is Annika Hansen, and I want my Papa."
